So, Gethin seems to be back in the saddle

....in more ways than one

Sky today announced a series of mass-participation summer cycling events, supported by British Cycling, to encourage Great Britain to get back on the bike. The announcement comes as new research reveals that over seven million bikes lay unused in sheds, gardens, garages and homes across the UK.......and mine is one of them!

OK, so hands up all those who are pondering how they get their bike to 'wherever' so they can watch Gethin cycling off into the distance? Now now, I am not thinking about the view from that perspective.....

Geth and Katherine made a rare public appearance at Ascot this week, and Katherine looked particularly lovely in a Philip Treacy hat in 'GG' signature hot pink!

I just want to know what Geth did with his hat - obviously not to his liking!

This afternoon, Gethin finally went for his eye lasering experience....apparently, he got his sister to have a go at it first! Well, what are sisters for?

It's BAFTA (Cymru) time again!

This year’s BAFTA Cymru Awards Ceremony will celebrate its 18th Birthday and take place on Sunday 17 May, 2009 in the Wales Millennium Centre in the heart of Cardiff Bay.

The ceremony will bring a host of talent and celebrities from Wales to LA and heading up the presentations will be will be TV Presenter, Gethin Jones - an evening not to be missed!

The Welsh media industry will be out in force at the event which will see winners walk away with the coveted BAFTA Cymru mask in over 30 Programme, Craft and Performance categories - in addition to special presentations for the Sian Phillips Award, Gwyn Alf Williams and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Ioan Gruffudd, winner of the 2008 "Sian Phillips Award" said of the 2008 awards ceremony "The BAFTA Cymru show was brilliant and I thought it was incredibly tasteful as well as brilliantly put together and highly entertaining".

Delighted to be returning as host, Gethin Jones says: "I can't wait to return to the WMC for the 18th Welsh BAFTA’s. Last year once again proved what tremendous talent Wales has to offer in all aspects of broadcasting and interactive media and some true stars took to the stage. I have no doubt this year’s ceremony will be another huge success and I wish all the nominees the very best of luck. Pob lwc i chi gyd"

On the field - Hillsborough Memorial Match

The Hillsborough Memorial Match, ITV4 Thursday 14th May 7-10pm, kick off 7.45

Gethin will be appearing as one of the 'Celebrity' team at Anfield next week in the Hillsborough Memorial football match against Liverpool 'All-Stars'. The match has been organised by Kenny Dalglish for the Marina Dalglish charity appeal, which hopes to raise funds for the building of a new Radiotherapy Unit at University Hospital in Aintree.

Geth will be joined by fellow Welshman Joe Calzaghe, and Paul Gascoigne amongst others!


Kenny says:
'There'll be a real family feel to the occasion and a few laughs no doubt - but rest assured everyone will take the game seriously.

"Certainly the celebs like Nicky, Craig, Johnny Wlkes and Gethin Jones, who won Strictly Come dancing, can all play a fair bit."

We always knew Geth won Strictly! Always a winner in our eyes!

We have an announcement to make - after writing our fabulous fansite and looking after it for the last year, our beloved Webmistress has decided to hang up her keyboard and move onto pastures new.

Our Welsh Wizard (not called Geth!) weaved his magic and today we have a new look website!

Last night was the night

Gethin managed to make a rather naff flame circus oufit look HOT (hot, flame, geddit?). Move over Austin Healey, the Strictly 'guns' award surely goes to Gorgeous Gethin!

Geth appeared (apparently to JB's surprise) on John Barrowman's TV show 'Tonight's the Night' and this is now on iPlayer for all to see!

Juicy!!!

Twitter teasing from Geth led us to think he might be......and true to his (cryptic) word, Gethin (and his BMW) made an appearance on the irreverent quiz show Celebrity Juice on ITV2 on Wednesday night .

Claudia Winkleman (whatever happened to 'Snuggles'?) said that Gethin's was a 'girl's' car. Geth was NOT amused! It was a lovely shiny black BMW 3 series convertible though, so maybe she had a point!

The show is on the ITV catch up service and will be repeated at 1.30 am on Monday!
